What makes A2ZTranslate different is that we are not just a translation company but a multilingual online marketing company, integrating all aspects of online marketing (SEO, PPC, PR etc.) into the translation process for websites. We are looking for translators who could move, over a period of 12-18 months, to more of a project management role. The possibility to spend time in the New Zealand office for short or long term also exists. All applicants must be either a native English speaker or a native Japanese speaker. While we recognise that we may be asking a lot, ideally the people we are seeking will have the following skills above and beyond JP-ENG-JP translation ability: - excellent general computer skills (email, MS Word, Excel, Mac and Win OS) - excellent phone manner and personal presentation - experience with tagged file formats (HTML, XML, PHP etc.) and/or a knowledge of web design and programming - experience with one or more DTP applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Quark etc.) - experience with Trados or other translation applications - ability to support in sales presentations, expos and client liason Typical hours of work would be between 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and it is envisaged that there will be little to no overtime requirement. However, we would be interested in hearing from people who would like shorter work hours (e.g. 20 hours per week) as well. As the majority of our work is handled via email and the internet, the possibility to work some time from home also exists, and as such this may suit someone returning to the workforce.
